Rogue by Rihanna review

I must admit that I'm not really a ‘sweet’ perfume lover, however I did my one exception….

Rogue by Rihanna

This beauty is Rogue by Rihanna. I really have no idea why I was drawn to this bottle, really I’m not a fan of celebrity created perfumes. They just don’t float my boat. I think I was looking for a fresh, clean smelling perfume and then I smelt Rogue to see if it fitted the bill. Unfortunately, it did not. However, I was instantly surprised at how sweet, girly and wait for it –LOVELY it was. To me Rogue smells sweet, a little powdery and a perfume version of my favourite Lush shower gel, Snow Fairy. It’s definitely not as ‘pear drop’ smelling as Snow Fairy but the base notes, I feel, are more or less the same. Here is a more accurate description of the scent:

Top Notes: Lemon Blossom, Cyclamen, Bergamot, Pink Peppercorn
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Rosem Nygyet, Plum, Suede
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Patchouli, Golden Amber, Vanilla, Musk

I really like the packaging, the bottle is not too ostentatious and cheap looking like some celebrity perfumes. I’m not embarrassed to be the age I am and have this bottle on my dresser, I think it looks rather clean and simplistic. The scent lasts a long time and smells the same as when you first put it on. I must admit that since I have found this perfume I will no longer turn my nose up at celebrity created perfumes ( except the ones in the tacky bottles, yuck!) You can buy Rogue for £32.50 for 75ml at Boots

What your favourite celeb perfume? Any recommendation’s for a newbie?
