Long time no blog! The weather in the UK is a bit grim so what better way to brighten your day than adding some shimmer. I don't know about you but on dull days I like to add a bit of dazzle, whether it be a loud scarf, a bright lip or a touch of luminescence to my skin. I'm not sure how long this product has been out but it certainly grabbed my attention. I personally love highlighters so the MUA undress your skin shimmer highlighter seemed like my cup of tea.
The highlighter is a frosty, soft pink colour and kind of reminds me of the pink freeze eye shadow by MAC. The wave pattern also reminds me off the MAC extra dimension collection. I've noticed that MUA are starting to change the colour of their packaging from black to white. I really like the white and think it looks a bit more classy and clean. The case itself is seems quite durable and the catch does not open easily which makes it handbag friendly.
The actual product is soft, pigmented with a silvery pink base. You can see flecks of fine pink glitter, on the whole the product is more shimmer than glitter particles. I thought about wearing this blended out on my cheekbones or as a brow highlight.
You can really see the frosted pink colour here. The application was smooth and glided on my skin with little effort.
Blended out the pink colour sort off disappears and you are left with a subtle pink sheen. The fine glitter particles are more evident blended out I was admittedly, a little disappointed. I hoped the colour to stay a little more pink and shimmery, but then again I am a little fussy about these things.
I have oily skin and I got about a decent 3 hours out of this highlighter before it just looked like fine pixie glitter on my face. I don't really mind though, if Tinker-bell can rock the shimmer then so can I.
Overall, I was impressed with the application of this product and how smooth the texture was. I will definitely be using this product in the future and will keep it in my handbag for touch ups. Blended out the product is subtle enough to wear for day time and will brighten your face.
